How did we end up here? Our world on fire: catastrophic climate change, a global pandemic, an economic crisis, a fractured and divided country, and the graphic murder of another black person by a white police officer caught on video? How is this our world? What kind of path are we on? And where does it end?

This is the real yoga, Gina. Writing this blog was on the top of my to-do list for years. And it’s finally time. I scribble in journals and notebooks, make voice memos and audio recordings, and I have done this for as long as I can remember.

It’s 2020 – a new year of perfect vision. It’s a new day with so much possibility – Carpe Diem! It’s a new me and you – we’re feeling inspired and ready to get after it. This year is our year! The quiet darkness of the new year encourages us to be quiet, to examine the past and prepare for the future.

If you haven’t heard of mindfulness by now you must be living in the most peaceful, remote, tech-free place on the planet because that word is EVERYWHERE. Everyone is mindful these days. And in case you haven’t heard, mindfulness is a proven cure for pretty much everything.
